Retail recruitment in Moldova
Need staff for a shop, retail chain or sales outlet? ALES handles the search and initial screening so your manager can interview candidates suited to the team. Our retail recruitment covers sales, store operations and supervisory roles, taking account of opening hours and customer traffic.
You can request recruitment for one role or several stores. Before the engagement begins, you will receive a proposal setting out the roles covered, selection stages and recruitment fee.
Recruitment for shops, retail chains and sales outlets
Neighbourhood shops and supermarkets
For a store with steady customer traffic, recruitment needs to reflect opening hours, till numbers, deliveries and shelf duties. We clarify whether the role involves selling, taking payments, receiving goods or several tasks within the same shift.
Specialist retailers and showrooms
In furniture, electronics, cosmetics, materials and other specialist stores, the level of product advice varies by role. We establish which product knowledge is needed at hiring and what can be taught in the business.
Retail chains with multiple locations
Stores within the same chain may have different hours, teams and customer traffic. We separate requirements by location so the retail recruitment brief reflects the needs of each role.
Shopping centre stores
Extended opening hours, weekends and promotional periods shape staff availability requirements. We discuss access to the store, shift patterns and who oversees operations when the store manager is away.
When we can help with your hiring
We sequence the search around the launch: supervisors or managers first, where needed, followed by sales and store operations staff. For several stores, we define roles, headcount and start dates separately.
We take on the search for a role affecting the rota or increasing the existing team’s workload. We check whether the same profile is still needed or duties have been redistributed among colleagues.
For a busy period, we clarify the dates, headcount and actual store schedule. Supplying staff for a single shift or one-off promotion is not automatically included in a recruitment assignment.
Matching the search to your store’s hours and conditions
Before presenting candidates, we agree which conditions will be communicated during the search. Availability, salary expectations and responsibilities can then be discussed during initial screening.
The actual working schedule
Before presenting candidates, we agree which conditions will be communicated during the search. Availability, salary expectations and responsibilities can then be discussed during initial screening.
Working hours and shift patterns
Specify working hours, weekends, opening and closing shifts, and who takes responsibility for the store at the end of the day. A vague schedule leads to unnecessary clarification at interview.
Basic pay, bonuses and sales targets
Explain the fixed component of pay, any bonus and the conditions attached to it. Sales targets and commission should be described separately from basic salary.
Store location and access
The address, access for the first and last shifts, and distances between stores are especially important within a chain. Transport or meals are mentioned only when the employer provides them.
Retail roles we can recruit for
Retail recruitment can cover sales and operational roles within the same store. We confirm the roles in the proposal and base selection on each team’s actual responsibilities.
Sales and customer advice
Checkout and customer service
Goods receiving and shelf replenishment
Stock control and store operations
Store and shift management

How retail recruitment fees are determined
The recruitment fee depends on the roles, headcount, level of responsibility and stages included. Where several types of role are involved, we clarify the scope and fee calculation separately. ALES’s fee is separate from future employees’ salaries and benefits. Payment terms and any candidate replacement arrangements are set out in the accepted proposal; replacement is not included by default.
Other industries we recruit for
Hiring for another area of your business or across several sectors? ALES plans the search around how your company operates, the roles to fill and the actual working conditions. Choose the relevant industry or send an enquiry to discuss your requirements.
Retail recruitment FAQs
Yes. List the locations, roles and headcount for each store. We can separate priorities and criteria in the proposal so a showroom sales role is not assessed against the same requirements as a checkout role.
You can include weekend work in the brief. We clarify shift patterns, hours and responsibilities before screening. Availability for a particular schedule is assessed for the specific assignment.
That depends on the products, responsibilities and training available. Some roles require experience with particular customers or products; for others, the necessary knowledge can be developed after hiring.
We clarify the activities and performance measures involved. Relevant experience and examples of customer interactions are presented to support the company’s interview. The employer makes the final assessment.
You can submit an enquiry for any location in the Republic of Moldova, specifying the town, store access and working hours. We review the conditions and confirm whether we can take on the search.
